Job Purpose:
The Assistant Maintenance Manager supports the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations, ensuring all facilities operate at the highest standards of luxury, safety, and efficiency, while delivering an exceptional Guest and Member experience in line with Conrad brand standards.

What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will support the leadership and supervision of the maintenance team, ensuring all maintenance activities are prioritized and executed efficiently. You will also ensure compliance with all statutory and legal requirements. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

Supporting the daily supervision and leadership of the maintenance team, ensuring high performance and adherence to luxury brand standards.

Assisting in the implementation and compliance of all statutory and legal requirements, including fire safety, health and safety, hygiene, electricity at work, and all applicable local regulations.

Coordinating closely with Housekeeping and Operations, prioritizing maintenance activities to minimize guest impact and maintain service excellence.

Managing and responding promptly to all maintenance requests and enquiries, ensuring swift and effective resolution.

Overseeing and supporting maintenance repair work, ensuring proper use of PPE and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Supervising the upkeep of green areas, parking facilities, and exterior spaces, when applicable, in line with luxury presentation standards.

Ensuring preventive maintenance programs are followed and executed effectively, reducing downtime and extending asset life.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and contractors, ensuring seamless collaboration.

Supporting and monitoring energy conservation initiatives, promoting sustainability and operational efficiency.

Ensuring compliance with C.O.S.H.H regulations, particularly in the storage, handling, and control of hazardous substances.

Supporting the training, coaching, and development of the maintenance team, fostering skill growth and succession planning.

Strong technical background, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or building maintenance

Relevant technical certifications or professional qualifications

Experience coordinating contractors and supervising preventive maintenance programs
