Assistant Maintenance Engineer - Hotels - Full Time

Our Assistant Maintenance Engineer performs general maintenance duties including, but not limited to, working with small hand tools, painting, wallpaper, tile, carpet, Guest-room-repair calls, finish work and assist Maintenance Engineers with mechanical work.

Responsibilities: Replacing and cleaning guest room ventilation filtersCleaning plenums, ducts, and fan unitsReplacing incandescent light bulbus and cleaning fixturesPerforming minor repairs on room checklists can include room drapery rods, walls, doors, dressers, tables, beds, and headboardsReplacing Bathroom groutingDislodging commodes and replacing toilet seats Basic Qualifications: Ability to complete work orders in the computerized maintenance programInteract with Guests and other Cast Members answering questions, providing directions, event information and other services to create a magical experience for our GuestsSchedule Availability - Shifts are typically at night, and individuals must have availability to work Sunday through Saturday, any shift (1st – Day Shift, 2nd – Swing Shift, and 3rd – Graveyard Shift) including holidays, and must be open to any days offMinimum of 1-year previous experience Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in the maintenance of hotel guest rooms and public spaces Additional Information: Those assigned to this position may be required to complete annual health and safety testing, and compliance training.

The pay rate for this role in California is $27.04 to $32.93 per hour, which follows the pay scale agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
