The Assistant Logistics Manager is responsible for preparing and maintaining transportation plans for finished products, ensuring alignment with short-term objectives, working under close supervision. The role assists in the organization and processing of transportation documentation, including bills and customs paperwork, while also populating and updating transportation management systems with accurate data. The role participates in the inspection and verification of inbound and outbound shipments to guarantee accuracy and adherence to quality standards. The role plays a supporting part in the maintenance and operation of transportation equipment and assets, coordinating repairs and servicing as necessary to ensure smooth operations. The role plans transport for eligible transactions (sales orders, purchase orders, deliveries) and executes steps as per documented process and work instructions.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Helps to plan transport for eligible transactions (sales orders, purchase orders, deliveries), executing steps as per documented process and work instructions and according to specific requirements expressed (e.g. delivery questionnaire).
+ Ensures the quality assurance of master data and transactional data throughout the entirety of his/her operational activities, maintaining a stringent adherence to established protocols and standards to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all created and updated records.
+ Works across transportation and distribution functions to analyze transportation data and trends, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost reduction in the supply chain, working under close supervision of experienced team members.
+ Participates in the collection of transportation capacity data to support informed decision-making and enhance route optimization efforts, contributing insights to drive efficiency improvements.
+ Contributes to resolving transportation and distribution-related challenges by troubleshooting logistics issues and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, seeking guidance and support from supervisors when needed.
+ Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance procedures for transportation and distribution activities, strictly adhering to Philips' policies and industry regulations, and providing support for audits and compliance checks.
+ Maintains accurate and up-to-date records in transportation and distribution management systems, facilitating efficient tracking and monitoring of shipments and inventory levels, with oversight from senior team members.
+ Provides timely and transparent communication to internal teams and external partners regarding shipment status, delays, and other transportation and distribution-related matters, escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
+ Assists in the maintenance and operation of transportation and distribution equipment and assets, including vehicles, forklifts, and warehouse machinery, coordinating repairs and servicing under the supervision of experienced colleagues to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
+ Supports distribution-related responsibilities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations, as needed, to optimize overall supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
**Minimum required Experience:**
+ Knowledge of Onward & Reverse Logistics
+ Material distribution - Handling spare parts movement from the warehouse to customer site.
+ Material Inbound - Preparation of Return Documents from site to warehouse
+ Establishing good working relationships with vendors, discussing, and resolving problems regarding delayed delivery schedules.
+ Monthly transporter/warehouse review on their performance, penalties as per agreement if they did not meet our requirement
+ Maintaining MIS report for material/warehouse/inbound/outbound/vendor performance
+ Handling stock discrepancy by Identify the issue and resolve with various stakeholders
+ Creation of DN & RDN (Delivery documents)
+ Knowledge in SAP
+ Good in Excel & other Microsoft Office tools
+ Good communication skills
+ Handling of Internal & External stakeholders

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
