First Student is looking for a dedicated Assistant Transportation Manager to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting daily operations, ensuring safety, managing performance, and delivering excellent service. The Assistant Manager works closely with the Location Manager to
oversee transportation logistics and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and efficient coverage of home-to-school routes
Address driver concerns and performance issues
Investigate and resolve client complaints
Monitor and achieve on-time performance goals
Conduct safety reviews and engage in proactive injury prevention efforts
Support the resolution of union grievances
Oversee dispatch operations to ensure proper route coverage
Review and correct athletic trip invoices
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
3–5 years of experience in transportation, including 2–3 years in a supervisory role
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and mechanical processes
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and work extended hours including weekends
Reliable vehicle for local travel as required
