**Description:**
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
1. Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain and regularly update the Laundry Department Operations Manual.
Lead effective departmental meetings and briefings to ensure clear communication.
Monitor and record daily production data for all linen types processed per shift.
2. Guest Experience & Customer Service
Ensure all Laundry team members consistently deliver Hyatt’s brand promise and exceptional service.
Promote excellent service to both external guests and internal departments.
Keep the team informed about current promotions, policies, and hotel services.
Handle guest and internal inquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution.
Foster positive interactions and strong working relationships with guests and colleagues.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date guest history records.
3. Financial Management
Optimize team productivity through multi-skilling, flexible scheduling, and task efficiency.
Manage departmental costs effectively while upholding service quality and brand standards.
Embrace new technologies and equipment to enhance productivity and reduce manual workload.
Support monthly forecasting and contribute to the Annual Business Plan.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, including accurate and timely reporting.
4. Operational Excellence
Implement all required brand standards and adopt optional ones where beneficial.
Act on Consumer Audit feedback to improve service and operations.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
Promote teamwork and flexibility among Laundry associates and across departments.
Maintain par stock levels and conduct monthly inventory checks for supplies and equipment.
Oversee requisitioning, storage, and usage of all laundry materials.
Conduct daily pre-shift briefings covering occupancy, arrivals, events, and special needs.
Coordinate closely with Housekeeping and related departments.
Ensure accurate posting of laundry charges in the POS system.
Manage maintenance needs and issue repair orders for laundry equipment.
5. People Management
Assist in recruiting and selecting Laundry team members using competency-based methods.
Ensure team members are punctual, well-groomed, and in proper uniform.
Conduct annual performance reviews and support team members’ development goals.
Plan and implement training programs in collaboration with the Training Manager.
Mentor and support Departmental Trainers through regular feedback and meetings.
Encourage creativity and recognize contributions that enhance operations.
Ensure all team members understand and follow hotel policies and safety regulations.
Promote a culture of safety, hygiene, and professionalism.
6. Additional Responsibilities
Attend and contribute to required training sessions and meetings.
Stay informed on labor laws and industrial relations practices.
Represent the hotel and Hyatt International positively and professionally.
Build strong relationships with industry peers and business partners.
Adhere to hotel policies, especially those related to IT, fire safety, hygiene, and health.
Maintain high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
Adapt to changes in laundry operations as needed by the hotel or industry.
Perform any other duties as reasonably assigned.
