Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our team at our prestigious hotel in 6th of October City, Egypt. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the Director of Housekeeping to maintain exceptional cleanliness standards and ensure guest satisfaction throughout our property.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Director of Housekeeping in overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping department, including public areas and laundry facilitiesConduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to uphold the highest cleanliness standardsSupervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff, providing clear communication, coaching, and performance feedbackImplement and maintain efficient housekeeping procedures and protocolsManage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levelsPromptly address guest inquiries and special requests with professionalism and efficiencyCollaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and enhance guest experiencesOversee the lost and found system, ensuring proper documentation and handling of itemsAssist in creating and managing staff schedules to optimize coverage and efficiencyContribute to the development and implementation of departmental goals and initiativesEnsure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards and regulationsAdapt to changing priorities and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in upscale hotel housekeeping managementPrevious experience in high-volume luxury hotels or resortsStrong leadership and supervisory skills with a collaborative approachExcellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detailOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills in EnglishBilingual proficiency in Arabic and EnglishProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelKnowledge of hotel room management systems (e.g., HotSoS, Opera)Understanding of health and safety regulations in the hospitality industryProblem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environmentCustomer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiencesAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPhysical capability to perform tasks requiring moderate lifting and extended periods of standing or walkingFamiliarity with local hospitality standards and cultural norms in EgyptAdaptability and resilience in handling various challenges in a dynamic work environment About the Company
