Assistant Housekeeping Manager - Mu00f6venpick Resort & Residences Aqaba

The position is for assisting all relevant activities in the field of the housekeeping department. It ensures that the hotel consistently disposes of adequate, motivated and skilled personnel at all levels while considering that housekeeping administration remains a smooth-running procedure.

Administration Organisation of personnel administration Personnel planning of the department Organisation and monitoring of all administrative affairs within the department Works in harmony with all staff and executives Helps the Executive Housekeeper in the implementation of major changes in all hotel areas to achieve organizational objectives Maintains excellent relations and professionalism among all subordinate staff Proper grooming and behavior always Coordinates repair and maintenance schedules of rooms Ensures rounds of the property are taken Ensures cleanliness and hygiene standards in all hotel areas Ensures adherence to company and hotel policies for all departmental employees Checks and controls the availability and proper usage of supplies and materials Ensures maintenance and upkeep of garden areas and indoor/outdoor plants as per international standards Ensures aesthetic standards of flower arrangements in the hotel Ensures daily inspection of guest rooms upon arrival Ensures department employees are fully trained on 7 key issues and hospitality guarantee Performs duties according to Accor standards Proper grooming always Personnel organisation Attends behavioral and vocational training in own and related work areas to enhance skills and develop multifunctional abilities Maintains excellent relations and professionalism among all subordinate staff Stays in constant contact with staff in the department, managing by example Arranges appointments for the Executive Housekeeper with contractors or suppliers Ensures all guest requests are noted and communicated to the concerned Floor Supervisor Types memos and other correspondences Maintains sufficient stock of stationery and record books for the use of housekeeping staff Completes attendance records and ensures accuracy for salary calculation on the 21st of every month for all housekeeping employees General tasks Establishes monthly reports according to requirements Is familiar with all related company documentation, especially the relevant operational standards manual for the field of responsibility Team management Manages performance issues that arise within the department Trains, develops, coaches and counsels, conducts performance evaluations, and resolves problems of departmental team members and managers Assists with interviews, selection, and recruitment of operations department team members Identifies and develops team members with potential Constantly monitors team members' performance, attitude, and degree of professionalism Additional information Internal: Works in harmony with all hotel employees, applies rules, and provides the best service within the limits of the established job specification External: All guests, suppliers, and partners Materials: All machinery and equipment at front office
