Overview

In line with our growth strategy, AtkinsRéalis in the UK & Europe region, have an opportunity for an Assistant / Consultant Level Health & Safety Consultant within our London office. The opportunity will be supporting our successful London based Health and Safety consultant Team whilst developing your own career as a Health and Safety consultant in the construction industry.

Your role

CDM Advisor services on a range of different sized projectsProviding CDM and PD Advisory services to clients on a range of different sized projectsGeneral health and safety consultancy services to clientsHealth and safety support as part of bids, including supporting writing bid documentsSupporting colleagues with health and safety expertise where requiredDeveloping existing and new clients as part of our ‘win work’ strategyApplying the principles of quality assurance and environmental management in compliance with the organisation's policies

Your Qualifications:

Possess a NEBOSH National / Construction CertificateA member of APS, or working towardsA Technician / Graduate level member of IOSH or IIRSM equivalent with a desire to work towards Chartered StatusA relevant design or construction related qualification (preferred but not essential)

About you

Experience and knowledge of applying the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 and general Health and Safety legislation and guidanceDemonstratable knowledge of safety in designExperience of delivering Principal Designer and CDM Advisor servicesExperience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary teamSound understanding of the main Microsoft Office packagesAbility to prepare / present emails and documents, demonstrating a good understanding of the written and spoken English languageCompetent report writingFlexible to travel across AtkinsRéalis client locationsA valid driving license is essential and a car

Security clearance

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.  If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview.
