Assistant General Manager The Assistant General Manager supports General Manager in managing transportation services for Eden Prairie, MN. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the contract, facility and safety of personnel and passengers, customer service and managing the financials. Manages contract compliance. Has shared responsibility for scheduling, performance evaluation, and staffing responsibilities for the facility's management staff. Other duties as required.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred.5+7 years of supervisory or management level experience in the passenger transportation industryKnowledge of relevant federal and state employment lawsThorough knowledge of laws, ordinances and regulations underlying the transit operationThorough knowledge of the methods of operation of the transit system’s staff and operational departmentsAbility to deal with state and local governmentAbility to manage cost control and financial/budget experience handling multiple locationsWorking knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint programsIndividuals serving in administrative positions should have a current CDL with Passenger endorsement and no air brake exclusion in case there is a need to operate in vehicle in revenue service.Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation skills; ability to influence people at all levels of the organizationAbility to organize and perform work efficiently, strong attention to detailsAbility to navigate Labor Relations issues and work effectively with union partners, including labor grievances, and negotiations.Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
