The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager has the key responsibility of ensuring that all Food & Beverage outlets, Conference and Banqueting operations are managed as successful independent profit centers, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and consistency in line with Hilton International standards. He / she will achieve these through the key strategies of planning, controlling, organizing and marketing. 

What will I be doing?  

As the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

Supports the overall operations and management of the Food & Beverage (F&B) department to ensure guest satisfaction, quality service, and compliance with international standards.

Maintaining high operational efficiency, staff performance, and service excellence across all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, in-room dining, and banqueting.

Monitor F&B revenue performance regularly and implement corrective actions to maximize profitability and minimize waste.

Assist in overseeing daily operations of all F&B outlets, ensuring smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams.

Maintain and enforce quality standards for food, service, cleanliness, and guest experience in line with brand and international expectations.

Support in recruiting, training, and evaluating F&B team members to ensure high levels of performance and guest satisfaction.

Assist in budget planning, cost control, and inventory management. Monitor revenues and expenses and support profitability goals.

Participate in menu development and promotional activities in collaboration with culinary and marketing teams.

Manage guest complaints and feedback in a professional and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Ensure all F&B operations comply with local health, safety, and hygiene regulations as well as brand policies.

Ensure full compliance with internal and external audit requirements, actively preparing for and supporting hotel audits and quality assurance reviews.

Monitor employee scheduling and labor productivity to optimize service coverage.

Coordinate and support the organization of events, banquets, and special functions.

What are we looking for? 

An Assistant Food & Beverage Manager serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: 

3-5 years in a managerial position in a 4 / 5-star category hotel. 

Proficient in F&B systems (e.g., MICROS, POS systems) and Microsoft Office.

 

Able to communicate in English and local language, both verbally and in writing, with guests and employees, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and to collect. 

Proven ability to manage revenue targets and improve profitability in F&B settings.

Flexible and responds quickly and positively to changing requirements, including the performance of any tasks requested of you. 

Maintain high team focus by showing cooperation and support to colleagues in the pursuit of team goals. 

Action and solutions oriented

Strong F&B and Conference & Banqueting operations knowledge and skills. 

Strong leadership, people management, and training skills. 

Guest-oriented and able to confidently build and exceed service standards. 

Thorough knowledge of service, cost control in F&B, labour controls, beverage menu writing, maintenance, merchandising, computer and accountings. 

Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail. 

 

Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations, including food, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction. 

Able to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
