**Description:**
The Assistant Director of Housekeeping will be an integral part of the Dream Nashville opening team. Ensure that thecleanlinessstandardsoftheguestrooms,meeting areas,publicareas,and back-of-the-housearemetthroughtheoptimaltraining,staffing,andsupervisionoflabor,efficientmanagementofoperatingsupplies,andproactivemonitoringof guest servicescoresandcomments.
· Ensurescompliancewithall housekeepingpolicies,standardsandprocedures.
· Understands the importance of department’s operation on the overall property financial goals and educatesstaffondetailsas appropriate.
· Reviewsstaffinglevelsto ensure theguest service,operationalneedsandfinancialobjectivesaremet.
· Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare workassignments.
· Inventoriesstocktoensureadequate supplies.
· Supervisesaneffectiveinspectionprogram forallguestroomsandpublicspace.
· Understands the impact of department’s operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives andmanagestoachieveorexceed budgeted goals.
· Ensuresallemployeeshavepropersupplies,equipmentanduniforms.
· Communicatesareasthatneedattentionto staffandfollowsuptoensureunderstanding.
· Supervises daily housekeeping shift operations and ensures compliance with all housekeeping policies,standardsandprocedures.
· Participates in departmental meetings and continually communicates a clear and consistent message regardingthedepartmental goals toproducedesired results.
· EstablishandmaintainstrongworkingrelationshipwithFrontOfficeManagementtomaximizeguestexperience
· Uses all available on the job training tools to train new room attendants and provide follow-up training asnecessary.
· Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensures employees do the samewith them.
· Scheduleemployeestobusinessdemandsandfortracksemployeetimeandattendance.
· Ensuresemployeesunderstandexpectationsandparameters.
· Ensures property policies are administered fairly and consistently, disciplinary procedures and documentationare completedaccordingtopolicy.
· Observesservicebehaviorsofemployeesandprovidesfeedbacktoindividuals.
· Ensuresemployeerecognitionistakingplaceonallshifts.
· Solicits employee feedback, utilizes an “open door” policy, and reviews employee satisfaction results to identifyandaddressemployeeproblemsorconcerns.
· Participatesinemployeeprogressivedisciplineprocedures.
· Reviewemployeesatsifactionresults.
· Participatesininterviewingandhiringofteammemberswiththeappropriateskills.

**Qualifications:**
+ A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
+ Refined verbal and written communication skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
+ 2-3 years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience
+ Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
+ Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
+ Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
+ Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
