Assistant Elevator Superintendent – Hooker, OK (Panhandle Location)
This is a salaried, exempt-level role.
Position Summary:
Join our team as an Assistant Elevator Superintendent and support the site Superintendent in managing elevator operations. You’ll assist with process improvements, help maintain safety and grain quality, and contribute to efficiency across the department. This role offers opportunities to lead projects, mentor team members, and play a key role in operational success.
Position Responsibilities:Oversee elevator operations and maintain grain quality standardsIdentify and implement improvements in efficiency, safety, and reliabilityConduct safety and housekeeping audits; address hazards promptlyEnsure environmental compliance and manage rail tracks/unloading operationsLead projects focused on energy reduction, cost savings, and operational reliabilityProvide leadership, mentoring, and training for team developmentCollaborate with commercial and plant teams to support overall operationsModel and enforce all safety practices
Position Requirements:Bachelor’s degree is preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent required2-3 years of grain handling experienceExperience leading plant safety programs and hazard analysis.Ability to plan, organize, and manage people, schedules, and resources.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Proven leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and train teams.Skilled in conflict resolution and fair, direct coaching.Problem-solving and organizational skills with a focus on continuous improvement.Working knowledge of Maximo and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Access, SharePoint).
Position Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements of the job requires ability to climb stairs, prolonged periods of standing and sitting, computer work, meeting deadlines, providing calculated information, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, working adjusted hours, and working as instructed. Prompt attendance is a must.
