The Assistant Director of Human Resources plays a key role in supporting the people strategy, culture, and talent experience for Bunkhouse hotels across the Austin and Houston markets. This role partners closely with the Area Director of Human Resources and hotel leadership teams to ensure strong execution of HR programs, consistent associate experiences, and alignment with the creative spirit that defines Lifestyle hospitality. Serving as a trusted partner to General Managers and property leadership, the Assistant Director of HR helps drive a people-forward approach that supports talent, strengthens operations, and enhances organizational effectiveness. This role balances hands-on execution with strategic support—bringing structure, energy, and a strong connection to the Bunkhouse culture. **Key Responsibilities** **HR Partnership & Execution** · Support the execution of multi-property HR strategies in alignment with Lifestyle Group priorities and business needs. · Partner with General Managers and department leaders to support day-to-day HR operations, colleague experience, and team effectiveness. · Act as a resource and advisor to leaders on HR processes, policies, and best practices. **Culture & Associate Experience** · Support culture-building initiatives that enhance colleague engagement and reinforce each property’s unique identity. · Help ensure the Bunkhouse ethos is reflected in colleague interactions, onboarding, and day-to-day HR practices. · Assist in driving programs that support engagement, recognition, and retention across properties. **Operations & Compliance** · Ensure consistent execution of HR operations across all properties, including onboarding, payroll coordination, compliance, and HR administration. · Support employee relations matters, investigations, and compliance processes with guidance from the Area Director of HR. · Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to company policies and employment regulations. **Talent & Development Support** · Assist with recruiting efforts, onboarding processes, and workforce planning across properties. · Support training initiatives and leadership development efforts in partnership with property leaders and the HR team. · Help identify opportunities to strengthen team capability and improve associate experience. **Data & Reporting** · Support the review of people data, including turnover, engagement, and staffing trends, to help inform HR priorities. · Assist in maintaining reporting and tracking tools to support operational decision-making. **Qualifications:** **Qualifications** · 2–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within hospitality or multi-unit environments. · Experience supporting multiple locations or departments strongly preferred. · Strong understanding of HR operations, including onboarding, payroll, compliance, and employee relations. · Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with leaders and associates at all levels. · Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through. · Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. · Spanish language skills preferred. · Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office tools. **We welcome you:** Research shows that individuals tend to apply to jobs only if they meet all the listed qualifications.
