Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.
Responsibilities:
Assists with developing processes to aid the service line to achieve outstanding performance on key nationally standardized metrics of quality including but not limited to American College of Surgeons (CoC and NAPBC) defined quality metrics. Manages Daily operation of the departments effectively and efficiently. Assists Director by demonstrating competencies in recruiting, interviewing, selecting and hiring staff to meet the needs of the specific patient population. Conducts timely evaluations for staff members of the Cancer Coordination department. Assist staff in setting and reviewing goals. Provides a climate for staff in which they can seek out and assist Director for feedback or to voice concerns or receive information. Adheres to hospital policies associated with HR including but not limited to PEP, FMLA, ADA guidelines, EAP evaluations etc. Keep Director informed of activities and problems. Assist with developing, implements, and reviews an ongoing education plan for staff. Collaborates with other medical center employees, directors and medical staff to meet the needs of patient population served. Under the supervision of the Director, competently serves as a clinical resource to staff, other hospital areas, students, and families. • Identifying and Accessing Resources for Cancer Coordination. Under supervision of the Director, supervises multi-position employees to contribute to the overall goals of McLeod. Able to develop and operationalize their communicated direction and the objectives of the Director. Performs all other duties as they relate to this position.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of total related work experience. Oncology experience preferred. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, team building ability, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently. Leadership or Management experience preferred Oncology Certified Nurse preferred.Requirements: Bachelors Degree
Licenses and Certifications: Graduate from an accredited RN program; must possess a valid South Carolina or compact (multi-state) RN license; and Basic Life Support certification
