Job Summary:
Join our compassionate and collaborative team as the Assistant Director of Adult Community Services, where you will play a vital role in enhancing community mental health. In this role, you will supervise team supervisors, provide ongoing training, and carry a limited caseload to deliver individual, group, and family therapy. You will also participate in emergency services and contribute to staff development activities, ensuring that our team is well-equipped to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the supervisors of the community-based teams and oversee productivity expectations.Present educational material to promote community understanding of mental health and enhance community response to mental health problems.Carry a limited caseload to provide individual, group, and family therapy as needed.Respond to all Quality Assurance procedures and cooperate with utilization review procedures.Identify training needs for case management staff and provide ongoing training to the Adult Services Department.Participate in emergency services to provide rapid aid in cases of emotional crisis.Participate in staffing of clients to identify problems and establish treatment goals.Address management needs such as data collection, program evaluation, and maintenance of contracts for services.Perform other special functions as assigned or deemed necessary by the department.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:

Current Missouri license (Psychologist, LCSW, LPC, PLCSW, or PLPC) – PreferredMaster’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field – PreferredExtensive knowledge of crisis intervention, communication skills, and family system methods.Extensive skills in adult behavior and assessment.Extensive skills and knowledge in adult treatment planning and the ability to work with service providers, both internally and externally to the agency.Ability to follow direction and accept supervision.

Additional Qualifications:

Burrell Behavioral Health requires drivers of licensed company vehicles and those using their own vehicles for business purposes to have the appropriate driver’s license, insurance coverage, and meet the auto liability carrier’s driver’s criteria.Ability to establish effective relationships and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills via telephone, email, and in-person interactions.Must have a willingness to lead by example and to reflect on and further develop leadership qualities.
