Assistant Custodial Manager
**Overview** We are seeking a dedicated and experienced **Assistant** **Custodial Manager** to oversee the day-to-day custodial operations and administrative functions for a key facility in **Miami Gardens, FL** . This role ensures compliance with contract requirements, maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety, and leads a team of custodial staff to deliver exceptional service. **Key Responsibilities:** + Oversee custodial operations to ensure compliance with contract specifications and service level agreements. + Manage staffing, scheduling, and payroll for assigned buildings. + Provide hands-on support during staff shortages or call-offs— **this is a critical part of the role** . + Conduct regular inspections and implement quality control measures. + Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure proper usage and storage. + Interact with clients daily to address concerns, gather feedback, and identify service opportunities. + Lead and develop custodial supervisors and team leads; provide coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed. + Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols. + Analyze operational and financial performance; implement cost control strategies. + Submit accurate and timely reports, including payroll, labor variance, and operational updates. + Attend company training workshops and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. **Minimum Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred. + Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a service or customer-focused environment. + At least 1 year of custodial or environmental services experience (healthcare or hospitality preferred). + Experience with cost estimating and pricing services. + Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and chemical handling procedures. + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Valid Florida driver’s license required. + **Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.** **Leadership & Compliance:** + Supervise and evaluate team performance in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. + Foster a positive work environment focused on safety, accountability, and service excellence. + Ensure all documentation, including terminations and operational plans, is accurate and submitted on time.
