QUALIFICATIONS • Previous successful cross-country coaching experience at the high school level • Commitment to Los Alamitos Unified School District’s mission, vision and priority goals • Knowledge of skills, strategies, and safe procedures in cross-country • Ability to teach the fundamentals of the sport • Positively lead and organize a team inclusive of parents, students, and staff • Develop and foster positive working relationships with students, parents, staff, and community • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and work closely with a wide range of stakeholders • Work with people in a constructive manner under stressful situations • Ability learn laws, rules, policies, practices and procedures related to public education and specific to Los Alamitos Unified School District • Attend required meetings and workshops as designated by the District • Ability to be flexible and revise priorities in accordance with requirements of the Superintendent/designee REQUIRED CERTIFICATES • First Aid/CPR • CIF Certificate
