Assistant Credit Reporting Officer

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under general direction, this position plays a key role in assisting the Credit Reporting Officer, Manager, and Credit & Risk Management in evaluating the quality of loans and monitoring the risks inherent within the Bank's loan portfolio.   

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participates in the preparation of the monthly analysis of the Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) calculation (i.e. The collection and monitoring of data used to support the recommended allowance for loan loss reserve calculations).  Analyzes and assesses group exposure tracking for reporting on the commercial and commercial real portfolios. Ongoing Maintenance: Assist with the monthly review and analysis of system reports to ensure data is complete and available for expedited and accurate month-end reporting. This includes but is not limited to missing property types and/or property information, missing risk ratings, missing relationship codes, missing NAICS codes. Maintain Data Control logs with data issues and provide monthly to Loan Ops for correction. Verify that maintenance was done as directed. Compiles and analyzes data and prepares departmental reports on the Bank’s lending portfolio for management information reports/presentations to Board of Directors, Loan Committee of the Board, Credit Committee, Department Heads and Senior Management (i.e. data integrity for Trend Analyses and Monthly/Quarterly Reports such as lending limits, group exposure, delinquencies, loan exceptions, loan classifications, credit risk, etc.). 

Manages the processing of risk rate changes on the Core system (i.e. File Maintenance Input (BOT) process):

Assure that all risk rate changes received are properly file maintained in a timely manner either manually or through the automated File Maintenance Input (BOT) process. Assure that all risk rate changes are properly documented and approved. Support and maintain the enhancement and development of technology to facilitate the flow of credit data for monitoring and reporting purposes. Coordinate with Asset Recovery on the Quarterly Credit Risk Management Report (CRMR) process.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s degree in in Finance, Accounting or Business 3 – 5 years in banking or financial services industry with some direct experience in credit or risk management. Knowledge of banking, lending regulatory statutes and loan operations procedures and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical applications Thorough knowledge of credit rating with experience in loan portfolio management In depth knowledge of and the ability to practically apply, modern office practices and procedures including spreadsheet programs for personal computers (Microsoft Excel, Word) Ability to communicate effectively Ability to conduct meetings, effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, auditors and various levels of management Ability to prioritize multiple projects and complete them on time Ability to display professional maturity, judgment and experience with a certain degree of creativity and diplomacy. Experience with Residential or Consumer Loans

Bachelor’s degree

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels are usually moderate. This position involves travel to customers and property locations.

Prolonged sitting Lifting from 5 to 10 lbs. (printer paper, storage boxes) Occasional bending or overhead lifting (storing files or boxes) The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting

Pay Details:

$58,900 - $84,200 annually

Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs. 

 

This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
