Assistant Corporate Controller
Description Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Corporate Controller to join our client's team in Bristol, Tennessee. This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of corporate accounting practices. Responsibilities: • Oversee the month-end closing process to ensure accurate and timely reporting. • Manage general ledger activities, including reconciliations and adjustments. • Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with audit standards. • Develop and implement financial reporting systems to improve efficiency. • Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and internal control policies. • Lead automation initiatives to streamline accounting processes and improve accuracy. • Establish and maintain corporate accounting policies and procedures. • Participate in system implementation projects, ensuring seamless integration. • Monitor cash flow forecasts and support budgeting and financial planning efforts. • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for business improvements. A degree in Accounting or finance is required and a CPA/CMA or MBA is preferred. The position is 100% onsite and will require someone to live in the Tri-Cities area. For immediate consideration please contact Lisa Coker at 865-370-2084 to set up an interview Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate accounting or financial management. • Proficiency in month-end closing processes and general ledger maintenance. • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, audits, and compliance standards. • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and internal controls. • Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with complex financial data. • Knowledge of lease accounting standards and ASC 606. • Proven ability to lead business process improvements and system implementations.
