Assistant Controller
Description We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team in Tonawanda, New York. In this role, you will play a key part in financial reporting, cost analysis, and budgeting processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This position offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with various departments and contribute to the organization's financial planning and operational efficiency. Responsibilities: • Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards. • Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual results, budgets, and forecasts. • Assist in closing financial periods by coordinating with the accounting team and maintaining proper documentation. • Conduct cost center reporting and analysis for production, logistics, and overhead functions. • Participate in product costing activities, including updating standard costs and analyzing variances. • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to support improvement initiatives. • Contribute to the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts by collecting and analyzing financial data. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial and operational planning inputs. • Maintain up-to-date financial records and adhere to accounting principles and policies. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, or accounting roles. • Strong knowledge of month-end closing processes and general ledger management. • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial statements and conducting audits. • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and principles. • Experience in cost analysis and budgeting processes. • Advanced skills in data organization and financial analysis tools. • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities to work effectively across teams. • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and ensure data accuracy.
