Assistant Controller
Regional Assistant Controller Position Summary System One is partnering with a manufacturing client seeking an Assistant Controller who supports the Controller in overseeing regional accounting operations and financial reporting. This role ensures general ledger integrity, accurate and timely close processes, compliance with IFRS and company policies, and consistent accounting practices across the region. The position plays a key role in process improvement, system oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities + Support and oversee month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and close checklists + Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal accounting policies, and audit requirements + Review balance sheet reconciliations and manage general ledger accuracy + Perform ERP functions including allocations, consolidations, FX revaluations, and final tie-outs + Manage intercompany accounting, eliminations, settlements, and global charge allocations + Maintain ERP Chart of Accounts and support system administration as assigned + Oversee commission calculations, transfer pricing, expense approvals, and payment release backup + Partner with Tax on quarterly and annual reporting and support audits + Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to management + Assist with system implementations, special projects, and process improvements + Provide guidance and leadership to accounting staff and collaborate with regional stakeholders Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required + 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities + Strong experience with monthly and annual close cycles + Manufacturing accounting experience preferred + ERP experience required; SAP and Syteline preferred + Advanced Excel and strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills + Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
