Assistant Controller
Description Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our client's team in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting processes, combined with excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion. • Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations. • Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with IFRS and DCAA standards. • Conduct detailed financial analyses to support strategic decision-making. • Lead annual inventory audits and ensure accurate reporting. • Coordinate intercompany accounting activities and balance sheet reconciliations. • Ensure compliance with SOX regulations through proper documentation and controls. • Collaborate with external auditors during financial statement audits. • Monitor and improve financial reporting processes for accuracy and efficiency. • Handle complex bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies effectively. The positions requires a degree in accounting or finance and a CPA designation is preferred. The position has light hybrid capabilities but will require someone to live in the Knoxville or surrounding area.
