Description A Fresno-based agriculture company is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role will partner closely with leadership to strengthen processes, maintain compliance, and support continued growth. Experience with Famous software is preferred. Requirements Responsibilities • Oversee general ledger activities, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close • Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules • Manage AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and payroll coordination • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis • Assist with cost accounting, crop accounting, and grower reporting • Maintain internal controls and identify areas for process improvement • Work with auditors, tax preparers, and banking partners as needed • Supervise and develop accounting staff • Ensure accurate reporting within Famous software and leverage system functionality for efficiencies • Support special projects, system enhancements, and leadership reporting Qualifications • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred • 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience; agriculture industry experience strongly preferred • Proficiency in Famous software required • Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with high-volume data • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and operate in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner cross-functionally • Detail oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities • Supervisory or team leadership experience a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
