Assistant Controller

Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. This role is integral to our financial operations, focusing on accurate reporting, compliance, and system optimization. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Assistant Controller will manage key accounting functions while providing leadership and contributing to organizational growth.
Responsibilities:
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Administer intercompany account management for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and present detailed financial reports to both management and external stakeholders.
• Perform variance analyses to identify trends and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Review and approve reconciliations for general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card transactions.
• Manage lease accounting under applicable standards and oversee daily cash flow forecasting.
• Support treasury operations and provide mentorship to less experienced accounting staff.
• Coordinate external audits and tax preparation activities to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
• Identify and implement enhancements to accounting systems and internal control processes. Requirements • Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting roles.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and accounting systems, with experience in Deltek Vision/VantagePoint preferred.
• Familiarity with lease accounting standards and business combinations (e.g., ASC 842 and ASC 805) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate financial data effectively.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Experience with month-end close processes and general ledger management.
• Knowledge of DCAA compliance and financial statement audits.
