Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing essential financial processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to support business decisions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic retail environment while enhancing internal controls and operational efficiency. Responsibilities: • Oversee Accounts Receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness. • Manage Viewpoint software, including system coordination and interface management. • Identify and recommend cost-saving strategies and revenue-enhancing opportunities. • Lead and mentor accounting team members, fostering professional development. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and manage timely tax payments. • Prepare and review monthly job cost entries and balance sheet reconciliations. • Maintain and update fixed asset schedules for accurate reporting. • Lead the monthly closing process for A/P, A/R, job cost, and general ledger. • Assist the Controller in the management of the accounting department and operational improvements. • ASC 842 / ASC 606 If interested, please send your resume to derek.kemp@roberthalf.c0m Requirements • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting or related roles. • Expertise in month-end close procedures • ASC 842 / ASC 606 • Management/Supervisory experience Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
