Assistant Controller
Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Newport Beach, California. In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. Responsibilities: • Prepare comprehensive financial statements to provide insights into the company’s financial performance and future outlook. • Manage and analyze balance sheets to monitor earnings and forecast expenses effectively. • Assist in overseeing accounting, auditing, and budgeting processes to ensure operational efficiency. • Coordinate and contribute to audit preparations, ensuring readiness and compliance. • Identify and resolve discrepancies or inaccuracies in financial records. • Ensure all financial processes comply with regulatory requirements and create reports to reflect adherence. • Utilize accounting software to maintain accurate records and generate detailed financial reports. • Delegate tasks to less experienced accounting staff and provide guidance to ensure quality work. • Collaborate with upper management and relevant stakeholders to prepare and present financial reports. • Support team initiatives by completing related tasks as needed to contribute to overall success. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management. • Proficiency in accounting software systems such as 3M, ADP, and Crystal Reports. • Strong knowledge of accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and auditing. • Familiarity with budget processes and CRM systems. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail and time management. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across teams. • Solid understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards.
