Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our growing, family-owned organization in Charleston, South Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to work in a multi-unit, international environment where collaboration and adaptability are key to success. Responsibilities: • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP. • Support the Controller in managing day-to-day accounting operations. • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in month-end and year-end closing processes. • Monitor and reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records. • Collaborate with various teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support business decisions. • Maintain compliance with international and domestic financial regulations. • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to ensure full transparency. • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures. • Address ad hoc financial reporting needs and special projects as required. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related role. • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement preparation. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative, non-corporate environment. • Proven ability to adapt to a dynamic, multi-unit business structure. • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Experience in international accounting practices is a plus. • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
