Description We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to financial operations by managing payroll, accounts payable, and HR functions while supporting compliance and reporting efforts. The ideal candidate will excel in analyzing financial data and implementing improvements to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Oversee accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate payment handling. • Process multiple payrolls each month and maintain compliance with relevant regulations. • Manage the organization’s HR functions, including employee records and benefits administration. • Assist with regulatory reporting and ensure adherence to compliance standards. • Analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and provide actionable recommendations. • Collaborate with teams across departments to support financial operations and initiatives. • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance organizational efficiency. • Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial reporting. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required. • Demonstrated experience in corporate accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in payroll systems and accounting software such as Sage Intacct is advantageous. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in preparing financial reports. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
