Posting Description

ASSISTANT COACH, TRACK & FIELD/SPORT PERFORMANCE, DAPER Intercollegiate Sports, supports MIT’s men’s and women’s cross country and track and field programs, with a dual focus on coaching and sport performance. The role includes coaching and supervising athletes in jumps, high hurdles, and short sprints, including recruiting and mentoring student-athletes in these event groups; designing and leading in- and out-of-season strength and conditioning programs for cross country and track and field, as well as other varsity teams as assigned by the Director of Sport Performance; coordinating logistics and meet setup for assigned event areas; assisting with team travel as requested by the Director of Track and Field/Cross Country; leading team development initiatives, including leadership training, conflict resolution, and alumni mentorship programs; and staying current with professional development in track and field and sport performance, and ensuring compliance with NCAA Division III regulations.
