Navarro Regional Hospital is your community healthcare provider, a 162-bed licensed acute care facility with inpatient and outpatient care, diagnostic imaging, emergency department, medical and surgical care. We offer cardiac rehab, physical therapy, an outpatient surgery center, 3D mammography and a 64-slice CT scanner with the area's most current diagnostic equipment. We offer a special procedures room for interventional radiology procedures, as well as a bronchoscopy suite. We believe in the power of people to create great care. Job Summary

As a member of the Hospital's senior management team, the Assistant Chief Executive Officer (ACEO) will participate in operational decision-making processes necessary for the successful attainment of the hospital's mission in addition to maintaining an awareness of changes in healthcare matters that could have an impact on the success of the hospital. The ACEO may have Ancillary department leadership responsibilities in addition to operational projects. The ACEO role is part of the leadership development program and will require future relocation within an acceptable timeline for promotion/transfer.

Essential Functions

Assists the CEO in the development and implementation of hospital-wide strategic goals and initiatives.Serves as a key advisor to the CEO on hospital operations, strategic planning, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.Collaborates with the CEO and other executives to ensure alignment of hospital goals with organizational priorities.Oversees day-to-day operations of hospital departments, including clinical, administrative, and support functions.Assists in managing hospital resources (personnel, facilities, equipment, and technology) to optimize operational efficiency and quality of care.Supports the CEO in developing and executing long-term strategic plans and goals for the hospital, including growth, service expansion, and quality improvement.Coordinates with department heads and senior management to identify areas for operational and clinical improvements.Assists in the preparation and oversight of the hospital’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across departments.Monitors financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and collaborate with the CFO and finance team to optimize the hospital's financial health.Supports the recruitment, retention, and development of senior leadership and key staff across hospital departments.Performs other duties as assigned.Maintains regular and reliable attendance.Complies with all policies and standards.

Leadership Responsibilities

Supervision and Staff ManagementProvides leadership, mentorship and professional development opportunities for departmental staff.Schedules employees to ensure effective use of resources. Consults with leadership on any potential staffing issues.Conducts performance evaluations, sets goals and provides feedback to staff on their performance and development.Strategic Planning and Financial OversightCollaborates with hospital leadership to set the strategic direction for the department, including budgeting, resource allocation and long-term planning.Monitors expenditures, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.Evaluates and implements new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures and protocols to optimize quality and overall efficiencies.Quality Assurance and Regulatory ComplianceEnsures compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies. May oversee the accreditation process with relevant agencies ensuring that services meet or exceed industry standards.Participates in audits, inspections and accreditation processes as applicable.Follows established quality control practices to ensure accuracy, consistency and safety.Collaboration and CommunicationWorks closely with leadership teams to coordinate and improve service delivery.Stays up-to-date with industry advancements, new technologies, and regulatory changes.Staff ResponsibilitiesMay work in a staff role, when required. Ensures that duties and responsibilities are fulfilled while meeting all competencies established for that job.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required orEight (8) plus years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree requiredMaster's Degree preferred4-6 years of experience in closely related field with Bachelor's degree required5-7 years of previous leadership experience preferred
