Assistant Building ManagerLocation – Uxbridge, London
We are looking for an Assistant Building Manager to join Cushman & Wakefield in Uxbridge, supporting the management of one of our most prestigious and exciting buildings.
The purpose of this role is to support the Building Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the building, ensuring high standards of service delivery, compliance with risk management practices, and excellent occupier experience. You will act as a professional and approachable first point of contact for occupiers and visitors, representing Cushman & Wakefield’s brand values at all times.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will assist with coordinating the operational day-to-day aspects of building management, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and in line with Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures.
You will work closely with the Building Manager, service partners and occupiers to ensure the building operates smoothly and remains compliant.
Core ResponsibilitiesAct as a first point of contact for occupier queries and assist in resolving complaints promptly, escalating where appropriate.
Support the Building Manager in ensuring the building remains legally and statutorily compliant, with inspections and repairs completed within required timeframes.
Assist with identifying works required on site and support the appointment and coordination of contractors.
Monitor contractor performance and day-to-day activities on site.
Support the completion and review of regular risk assessments.
Assist with regular building inspections and help produce reports on condition, issues and actions.
Liaise regularly with occupiers to keep them informed of building activities and services.
Support the management of occupier queries relating to Facilities Management services.
Assist the Building Manager with service charge administration, including budgets, reconciliations and variance reporting.
Escalate any tenant activity that may breach lease obligations to the Property Surveyor or Building Manager.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with surveyors, service partners and occupiers.
Support administrative duties, including record keeping, compliance documentation and reporting.
About YouThe ideal candidate will have experience in Facilities Management or Building Management, with a strong customer-focused approach and a desire to develop their career within a leading property consultancy.
You will be:
Organised and proactive, with good attention to detail
Confident communicating with occupiers, contractors and internal stakeholders
Comfortable supporting building operations in a busy, client-facing environment
IT literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
IOSH as a minimum qualification.
Ideally NEBOSH.
Previous experience supporting a Building Manager or Facilities Manager would be highly beneficial.
