**Job Summary**
+ The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for supporting the Branch Manager in the successful operation of the branch. The ABM ensures quality and efficient landscape management for BrightView's clients while achieving the company’s goals of consistently improving market share and meeting financial targets.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Engage in regular communication and meetings with team members and clients while building enduring relationships with them
+ Manage multimillion-dollar branch P&L, drive contract and billing efficiency, and hire, train, and develop branch staff
+ Remain accountable for the efficiency of client work and increasing market share for the branch
+ Responsible for overall management of the landscape construction branch
+ Establish and execute clear goals, priorities, and objectives for business development and operations teams
+ Partner with HR to attract, develop, and retain top talent for the branch
+ Support hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and continuous development of new and existing team members
+ Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and a commitment to 100% customer satisfaction
+ Promote a learning-oriented environment committed to personal growth while enabling the development of others
+ Identify opportunities to provide more value to the customer
+ Collaborate with the branch management team on the review of estimates, bids, proposals, and contracts
+ Work closely with the branch operations team to ensure work is executed with the highest quality and that budgets are met, and margins are exceeded
**Education and Experience:**
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in horticulture, business-related field, or equivalent experience in a customer-focused service industry
+ Minimum of 5 years of construction industry experience
+ Proven track record of building strong relationships with general contractors and other clients, directly contributing to strong business performance
+ Proficient in project and time management, resource planning, and effective decision making in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating/costing software packages
+ Solid working knowledge of business accounting. P&L management and financial analysis to support branch profitability
+ Experienced in horticulture, landscaping equipment, and managing a fleet of company vehicles.
+ Experience in growing and scaling branch operations
+ Demonstrated people development and performance management skills
+ Familiar with construction and production techniques for a self-performing contractor
+ Effective oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
+ Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
**Physical Demands/Requirements:**
+ Constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and computer printer
+ Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of the time
**Work Environment:**
+ This role will either be remote or be based in an office environment
