Job DescriptionTo assist the Banquet Manager to ensure proper servicing of all Banquet Functions . Assist in the operation and management of the Banquet Department; to disseminate information on event orders, to service and set-up personnel insuring accurate, timely functions as well as professional and courteous service. Upsell and attaining pre-determined labor goals, and supervision of all Food & Beverage related events on and off property.
Responsibilities Responsible for controlling all aspects in the execution of banquet functionEffectively supervise the Banquet staff during all food and beverage serviceCoordinating every aspect of the Banquet staff during all food and beverage serviceAssist the Banquet Manager in the complete operation of the Banquet Department to include schedules, event orders, resumes, banquet tickets, daily spreadsheetsAssistant Banquet Manager should be able to open and close day-to-day operationAssist in Banquet Employee reviews and attendance historySupervision of Banquet Captains, Servers and Housepersons in service, room set-ups, clean up and payroll administrationComply with staffing guides and punch detail reportsAssist in keeping necessary inventories on equipment, food and beverage itemsProvide Banquet Manager with day-to-day reports on groups and employeesBeing able to complete and understand all paperwork; Ace Forms, cash bar procedures, safety check list report, etc.Responsible for adhering to hotel policies and proceduresResponsible for adhering to all liquor liability lawsMust assist/conduct all designated staff/pre-function meetings QualificationsEnforcement and adhere to all liquor laws Six months experience supervising Food and Beverage functionsBachelor or Associate degree preferredAbility to push/pull 250 lbs, lift 25 lbs, and carry 200 feetMust have alcohol training certification (TABC) and food handlers training certificationMust become WineQuest certifiedMust be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends and holidays
