Location: Bowling Green, KY Category: Faculty Posted On: Wed Oct 1 2025 Job Description: The Department of Counseling and Student Affairs within the Western Kentucky University College of Education and Behavioral Sciences is pleased to announce we are accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure-eligible appointment at the rank of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor. The Department offers CACREP-accredited programs in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (both residential and digital pathways) and in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling; Graduate Certificate programs in Addictions Education; and a graduate degree program in Student Affairs. The candidate selected for the position will be expected to provide outstanding instruction, maintain an active record of scholarship, as well as activity in collegial and professional service. Job Requirements: + Requirements for all levels include: a doctorate from a CACREP-accredited counselor education and supervision program; experience as a Professional Counselor, eligibility for Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) credential in Kentucky; formal academic or professional training and experience in marriage, couple and family counseling. Additionally, they should be familiar in the history of participation in relevant professional organizations and demonstration of success or potential success in scholarly productivity. + Appointment at Associate Professor must include tenure and promotion earned as a faculty member within a CACREP-accredited program and as consistent with WKU's Criteria for Individual Ranks (WKU Faculty Handbook, 31st ed., III.C.1.a.). + Appointment at Professor must include tenure and promotion earned as a faculty member within a CACREP-accredited program and as consistent with WKU's Criteria for Individual Ranks (WKU Faculty Handbook, 31st ed., III.C.1.a.); must demonstrate and provide evidence of strong levels of performance across teaching, research/creative activity and university/public service throughout tenure at Professor rank.
