About the role
As the Assistant Accountant, you will work closely with the Finance Manager to support and strengthen the hotel’s financial operations. You will take ownership of the Accounts Payable, Income Audit, and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all processes.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the end-to-end Accounts Payable, Income Audit, and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments
Monitoring invoice approval workflows and liaising with department heads to ensure timely authorisation
Assisting with month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting for payables, receivables, and travel agent commissions
Working closely with the Shared Accounting Services team and Corporate Finance to ensure alignment and operational efficiency
Monitoring credit card reconciliations and attending to related queries, including refunds and discrepancies
Overseeing materials and purchasing controls, including reviewing purchase orders, monitoring approvals, and ensuring accurate cost allocation
Supporting inventory monitoring and stock reconciliation processes in collaboration with operational departments
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen internal financial controls
