Assistant Accountant Responsibilities

You’ll be involved in a wide range of financial tasks that ensure the smooth running of the finance department, including:

Performing daily bank reconciliations and updating financial records Processing customer receipts and supplier payments using the Copilot system Matching OPAYO receipts with bank transactions for accurate tracking Visiting the bank to deposit cheques when required Preparing monthly statements for customers and suppliers Reviewing staff expense claims for policy compliance Calculating and processing sales commissions Assisting with account queries from the sales team Ensuring timely statutory payments (VAT, wages, pensions, corporate tax) Supporting monthly and quarterly reporting by investigating P&L variances
