About the Role

Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management is seeking a Vice President – Senior iOS Engineer to join our Mobile Engineering organization in India. This is a hands-on Senior technical leadership role for an experienced iOS engineer with 10+ years of industry experience, who will help drive the architecture, quality, and delivery of secure, scalable mobile experiences for our global clients and advisors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUIOwn technical solutions end-to-end, including architecture, implementation, testing, and production readiness Set and enforce a high engineering bar through rigorous code and merge request (MR) reviews, ensuring adherence to Swift coding standards and best practices Ensure applications conform to Apple Human Interface Guidelines (HIG), accessibility standards, and best-in-class UX principles Define and drive adoption of mobile software design and architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture, modularization) Design, implement, and enforce comprehensive test strategies, including unit tests and integration tests, to ensure correctness, stability, and long-term maintainability Partner closely with product, design, backend, QA, and risk/compliance teams to deliver business-critical featuresMentor engineers across levels, providing technical leadership and raising overall team capabilityProactively manage technical debt, performance, reliability, and operational excellenceEnsure compliance with Goldman Sachs’ security, risk, and regulatory standards

 

Required Qualifications

10 years of hands-on iOS development experience delivering production-grade mobile applications         Expert-level proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, with strong experience in UIKitStrong familiarity with Swift coding practices, language idioms, and modern concurrency modelsDeep understanding of mobile software design and architecture patterns, including MVVM and modular architecturesDemonstrated experience building and maintaining unit tests and integration tests for iOS applicationsProven track record of leading high-quality code reviews in large, complex codebasesStrong knowledge of iOS frameworks, memory management, and performance optimizationDeep understanding of Apple Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) and accessibility requirementsExperience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation for iOSStrong understanding of Swift (protocols, generics, functional programming) and SwiftUIProficiency in Xcode for development, debugging, and performance analysis.Solid experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON, and integrating third-party servicesKnowledge of data persistence options (CoreData, Keychain, UserDefaults).Experience writing unit and UI tests (XCTest, XCUI), familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD).Proficiency with Git for code management and team collaboration.Advanced debugging (Xcode Instruments, Memory Graph) and performance optimization.Solid understanding of iOS architectural patterns (MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.).Strong foundation in software design principles (Dependency Injection, separation of concerns, modularity).Commitment to clean, efficient, well-documented code, code reviews, and best practices.Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and independent technical challenge resolution.Effective communication and seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ownership of features, independent task management, and self-directed research.Proactive adaptability and continuous learning of latest iOS trends and technologies.Ability to mentor junior developers and share knowledge.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of Android development (Kotlin/Java) is a strong plusExperience in financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated domainsStrong understanding of mobile security, data protection, and secure coding standardsExperience working on large-scale, modular mobile platforms
