Portfolio Management Overview

The Portfolio Management PM team seeks to optimize performance objectives and appropriately manage risk through consistent data-driven decision making for a variety of open-ended alternative investment strategies, including private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate. The Portfolio Management PM team partners with investment teams, capital markets, engineering and investor relations to achieve superior outcomes for AWM's clients.

 

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

 

Conduct fund modeling to drive portfolio construction, leverage and liquidity strategyAssist with deal allocation for funds with overlapping mandatesPresent portfolio analysis and data-driven recommendations to senior management through written and oral presentations Manage a series of open-ended alternative investment funds and related investment vehiclesMonitor hard and soft constraints at the fund level (including side letter terms, tax rules)

 

Assist with the development and recommendation of dividend policy (as applicable)Monitor and analyze industry trends to assist with strategic decisionsAssist with leading and coordination of board meetings and related materialsResearch and prepare ad-hoc strategic analysesCollaborate and coordinate with investing, debt capital market and asset management teams on transaction timing and impact

 

Skillset Required:

4+ years of experience in a financial services settingStrong analytical orientation; prior financial modeling experience preferredDesire and ability to perform financial and valuation analysisStrong communication (verbal and written), multi-tasking and time management skillsStrong judgment and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently in a small team, exhibit initiative and be proactiveCollaborative team playerStrong Excel and PowerPoint skills
