The External Investing Group (XIG) Group provides investors with investment and advisory solutions, across leading hedge fund managers, private equity funds, real estate managers, public equity strategies and fixed income strategies. The XIG Group manages globally diversified programs, targeted sector-specific strategies, customized portfolios, and a range of advisory services. Our investors access opportunities through new fund commitments, fund-of-fund investments, strategic partnerships, secondary-market investments, co-investments, and seed-capital investments. The XIG Data Office is broadly responsible for driving day to day governance and performance oversight of XIG’s Private Markets data environment. That is achieved through daily platform health and quality monitoring and remediation, proactively identifying structural design limitations and partnering with XIG stakeholders to design, test and implement next generation Data solutions. The group is also responsible for the core tenets of Data governance including training, culture and performance transparency to senior and Divisional stakeholders.
The XIG Data Office is seeking a motivated Analyst to support data governance, reporting, and data quality initiatives. This role is well suited for an early career professional with Data experience within private markets. The Analyst will work closely with senior Data Office team members to execute data initiatives, own uplift workstreams and support KPI monitoring, and contribute to improving data quality and operational efficiency across the XIG platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Operations & Reporting Support
Support daily monitoring of platform and vertical specific KPIs to identify data quality issues and trendsAssist in preparing dashboards, reports, and data summaries for internal stakeholdersHelp document data flows, definitions, and ownership across key datasetsPerform data validation and reconciliation checks to support data accuracy and completenessData Governance & Quality
Assist with implementing data quality metrics (integrity, completeness, accuracy, timeliness)Support remediation of data exceptions by working with functional teams and following established governance processesContribute to documentation and controls that support data governance standardsLearn and apply best practices that reduce manual data entry and operational riskProject & Program Support
Support delivery of data initiatives by tracking actions, timelines, and dependenciesAssist senior team members with data rationalization efforts, including mapping inputs, outputs, and data ownersContribute to testing and validation of enhancements to data platforms and reporting toolsParticipate in initiatives exploring automation and AI enabled data solutionsStakeholder Engagement
Work with investment professionals, operations, legal, compliance, and technology partners to understand data needsSupport preparation of materials for regular data status and progress updatesBuild foundational stakeholder management skills through exposure to cross functional teams globally
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field1–3 years of experience in data analysis, operations, technology, or a related role within financial services Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data accuracyProficiency in Excel; exposure to SQL, Python, or BI tools is a plusPreferred Qualifications
