Asset Protection Investigator 
Location: University Village (with flexibility to support additional stores) 

The Asset Protection Investigator plays a critical role in reducing shrink, ensuring compliance, and strengthening our culture of safety. This role focuses on external investigations, building partnerships across stores, and supporting awareness programs that protect our people, product, and brand. The position reports to a Regional Asset Protection Manager.

What You’ll Do 

Investigations & Case Management 

Detect, investigate, and safely apprehend shoplifters in alignment with VS&Co policies. 

Assist in external investigations and case building as directed. 

Prepare, maintain, and secure reports, evidence, and records per company and legal standards. 

Review reporting data to identify external theft patterns. 

Submit thorough, well-documented cases and testify in court proceedings when required. 

 

Partnership & Collaboration 

Support inventory processes to minimize losses and achieve shrink goals. 

Partner with store management on asset protection issues. 

Build strong working relationships with management teams, law enforcement, and industry peers. 

Support internal investigations and special projects as assigned. 

 

Operations & Flexibility 

Maintain compliance with all company values, policies, and applicable laws. 

Work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Salary: $27.00
Maximum Salary: $35.49

Qualifications

Qualifications 

Required Skills & Experience 

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

2–3 years of asset protection or investigative experience preferred. 

Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Highly organized with excellent follow-up abilities. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). 

Ability to travel within the region to support 1–4 stores as needed.
