Goldman Sachs Fund Services Limited (GSAM FSL) is the Irish based management company of GSAM.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements related to Delegate and Outsourcing Oversight and Operational Resilience. Oversee the identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of operational risks for any incidents impacting funds under the Management Company Oversight. Assist in maintaining key Management Company risk management framework components and risk policies and procedures. Monitor Delegate performance against Key Risk Indicators [KRIs], and where applicable, escalate any concerns regarding risks to relevant management committees and boards of directors.Perform periodic ongoing oversight of Group Affiliate delegates performance and Key Performance Indicators [KPIs] in line with Management Company oversight requirements; including identification on key areas of risks and challenges, as well as mitigation plan if necessary. Engage with Vendor Management teams with respect to external delegate performance and KPI’s in line with Management Company oversight requirements.Act as an oversight delegate for a sub-set of broker, custodian and/or fund administrators to maximize potential value delivery across the firmAssist with the evaluation, selection, negotiation and onboarding of new vendors and ongoing compliance with Firm vendor policiesReview all Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators and ensure changes are made where deemed necessary, and that these are metEngage with the Depositary on any matters that require escalation to the Management Company or BoardParticipate in the weekly joint Management Company Risk Oversight Group and the GSAM FSL monthly Risk Management Committee.Participate and report to GSAM FSL Management Company Risk Management Forums on items related to delegate oversight.Proactively engage with delegates where issues arise and to ensure services meet expectations.Compile and prepare risk reports for relevant Management Company Risk Committees, Fund Boards and the GSAM FSL Management Company BoardPresent risk reporting to relevant Management Company Risk Committees, Fund Boards and the GSAM FSL Management Company BoardManage new vendor appointment Initial Due Diligence and Management Company approvals as required.Engage in any regulatory projects impacting the Management CompanyKeep abreast of external and internal regulatory bodies divisional and group-wide risk standards and business changes; assessing any potential impact for the Group. In doing so, ensure that changes to the regulatory standards are implemented by the first line.Explore solutions that leverage business intelligence, low code automation, industry utilities, and external vendor solutionsEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with relevant industry experienceRelevant work experience of 4+ yearsDetail oriented with the ability to quickly identify and learn pertinent information across a wide range of products and the full trade lifecycleAble to develop strong relationships across the organization and at all levels of management including the various Boards of DirectorsExcellent written, communication and presentation skillsAbility to work independently, multi-task and prioritize work under tight deadlinesIntellectual curiosity, and a strong work ethic and commitment to a superior work productAbility to cultivate effective partnerships with a broad range of stakeholdersForward thinking, with the ability to assert new ideas and follow them throughSelf-motivated, and a proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability of projectsStrong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing prioritiesPREFERRED SKILLS
Knowledge of European fund structures and products (i.e., mutual funds and alternative investment funds), operations, trade lifecycle and regulatory environments would be beneficialOperational Risk or Outsourcing Oversight experience gained within regulated sectors (Asset Management preferred)Experience producing risk reports and presentationsPrevious experience in an oversight or risk related role Good analytical skills and understanding of different risk methodologies
