Job summary:
The Vice President for Real Assets & Diversifiers Research on the Asset Management Multi-Asset Solutions Research team will develop investment views and identify opportunities across real estate, transportation, commodities (including gold), and other diversifiers for J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Multi-Asset Solutions investment team. The role partners closely with portfolio managers and the quant team to turn data-driven insights into actionable investment recommendations. There may also be an opportunity to contribute to research on J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s long-term capital market assumptions.
Job responsibilities:
Generate and apply fundamental frameworks to form investment views across real assets and diversifiers, including real estate, transportation, infrastructure, and commodities including gold. Produce clear, actionable research through written products and presentations by leveraging top-down, bottoms-up, and quantitative approaches. Build models and dashboards to track asset fundamentals and key themes. Collaborate with PMs and research analysts to evaluate cross-asset implications, undertake scenario analyses, and help assess risk.Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:
5+ years of experience in real assets/commodities or multi-asset research, ideally at a buy-side investing firm. Strong grasp of fundamentals, valuations, and market mechanics for real assets and diversifiers. Strong ability to connect fundamental research to multi-asset investing, including determining entry/exit, sizing, hedging, and more. Excellent quantitative and qualitative abilities; proficiency in data and modeling tools (Excel; Python or R; familiarity with market data platforms). Clear and concise written and oral communication; comfortable presenting to investment teams under time constraints; collaborative, team-oriented, and high attention to detail.Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:
