Essential Responsibilities

Asset Inspector/Labourers support the safe and efficient operation of Alberta’s transportation network, including:

General Highway Maintenance Duties

Asset inspection and data gathering using the ArcGIS systemCulvert inspection and cleaningSystem testing and feedback to support highway operations and digital asset managementRoad patrols and debris removalAssisting with traffic control proceduresWorking outdoors in all weather conditionsOther road maintenance tasks as required

Qualifications

Experience with ArcGIS or similar mapping systemsValid Class 5 Driver’s LicenseAbility to provide a 3‑year driver’s abstractSuccessful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testingPhysically able to perform demanding outdoor tasks

Work Conditions

Applicants that are local may be given preference due to the location of the work (No Camp or LOA provided)As LHL is obligated to respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be requiredWill be provided a pay rate of $21/hr -$24/hr based on experienceNight shift premium $3/hr
