As an Asset Class Controller in the firm-wide Financial Control team, you will be accountable for financial analysis, consolidation, reporting, balance sheet reconciliation/certification/substantiation, general ledger reconciliation reporting & governance, inter-entity control and governance, manual accounting/bookings to the general ledger and operating systems, and executing the month end close process.

Job Responsibilities:

Work closely with line of business controllers, financial control, product controllers, technology, operations and legal entity controllersPartner with FFC (Firm-wide Financial Control) teams globallyManage the consolidation of JPMorgan Chase financial data at month-end for their asset class, including the ability to support month end, quarter end, and year end activitiesHands-on engagement in projectsProactively identify process and/or infrastructure enhancements and work with stakeholders to enact changeControl post-closing entries and consolidation adjustmentsPerform various control procedures to ensure the integrity of reported financial resultsManage intercompany eliminations, a key component of the financial consolidation processEnhance the overall control environment around the financial reporting functionMobilize change wherever possible in order to simplify processes and enhance controls

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent experience)In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulationsBasic experience with a financial consolidation and reporting system (i.e. SAP interface)

Experience in SQL preferred
