Assessment Clinician- Telehealth

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus
Pay Range: $60,000/yr - $75,000/yr
Delivers telehealth treatment services in a professional, confidential, and HIPAA-compliant remote environment. Provides outpatient virtual care to individuals with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and co‑occurring disorders using secure telehealth platforms. Utilizes excellent clinical skills to conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments, formulate accurate diagnoses, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Works independently to provide evidence‑based therapeutic interventions, monitor client progress, and adjust care plans as needed. Coordinates referrals to appropriate services and collaborates with external providers to ensure integrated, client‑centered care. Completes related clinical and administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning: Independently conduct comprehensive telehealth assessments for new clients, including diagnostic evaluations using DSM‑5 criteria. Develop individualized, person‑centered treatment plans that address behavioral health needs and client‑identified goals.
+ Remote Engagement Skills: Strategies for building rapport and maintaining therapeutic alliance in a virtual setting.
+ Evidence-Based Practices: Commitment to delivering interventions grounded in research and best practices.
+ Cultural Responsiveness: Ability to provide equitable, respectful, and inclusive care to clients of diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
+ Outcome Monitoring: Using measurable objectives and tools to track client progress and adjust care plans.
+ Documentation & Compliance: Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically sound documentation in accordance with HIPAA, state regulations, and agency policies. Ensure all records meet quality and compliance standards.
+ Self-Management: Ability to prioritize caseloads, manage documentation deadlines, and meet performance standards without direct on-site supervision.
+ Productivity: Consistently meet or exceed the agency’s productivity standards established for the position.
+ Strong Communication Skills: Demonstrate clear, respectful, and responsive communication with clients, colleagues, supervisors, and external partners in a fully remote environment.
+ Crisis Response: Recognize and respond appropriately to client crises, initiating safety plans or emergency referrals as needed in a telehealth environment.
+ Compliance & Quality Assurance: Adheres to state, federal, and organizational regulations, including HIPAA, and best-practice clinical guidelines. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
+ Training and Professional Development: Complete all required annual training updates and actively participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
+ Technology Proficiency: Ability to navigate telehealth platforms, troubleshoot basic tech issues, and maintain a professional remote workspace.
+ Program Development: Provide input on telehealth workflows, technology use, and virtual engagement strategies to improve client outcomes and satisfaction in a remote care environment.
+ Collaboration & Coordination: Partner with medical providers, psychiatrists, case managers, peer specialists, and other behavioral health professionals to ensure coordinated, integrated care.
+ Community Partnerships: Serve as a resource and consultant to external providers, identifying appropriate referrals and facilitating timely service linkage.
+ Ethical Practice: Adheres to the professional code of ethics for their discipline, maintaining boundaries and confidentiality at all times.

EDUCATION:
+ Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work
+ Educational qualifications must match regulatory requirements
EXPERIENCE:
+ Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Human Services working with a population of individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or Substance Use Disorder (SUD)
+ Proven skill in conducting clinical assessments and person-centered treatment planning
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATE:
+ Must possess an LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC-D
