Your success is our success\. **Description** **JOB SUMMARY:** Performs a number of assembly duties to prepare a variety of standard composite parts in accordance with shop orders, oral and written instructions and blueprints\. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Bonds and assembles composite parts with components using blueprints and assembly tools with the use of fasteners, screws and liquid adhesive\. * Uses standard methods for bonding basic components to composite parts\. * Ensures composite assemblies meet bonding cure specifications\. * Prepares composite surfaces by filling and sanding to a smooth surface\. * Responsible for ensuring finished assemblies meet quality specifications and requirements including performing some functional tests\. * Uses small hand tools, sanders, drills, routers, adhesive applicators, calipers, gauges and other measuring instruments\. * Responsible only for own work\. * Performs other related duties as required\. **Qualifications** **EDUCATION** : Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification and Textron Aviation’s blueprint reading class is preferred\. **EXPERIENCE:** * 6 months of composites experience required\. **WORKING CONDITIONS:** Somewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes and liquids\.
