Job Title: Assembly Technician
Payrate: $25/hr - $30/hr
Job Description
As an Industrial Assembler, you will be tasked with assembling heavy industrial equipment by following detailed schematics and drawings. The role involves working with a variety of tools and requires a strong mechanical aptitude. You will be performing hydronic testing and will be trained accordingly. The job requires physical effort, including lifting up to 50 pounds, but assistance via overhead cranes or forklifts is available.
Responsibilities
Assemble parts according to detailed schematics and drawings.Perform hydronic testing, with training provided.Manage repetitive tasks using specific tools, such as wrenches ranging from 12 inches to over 6 feet.Log jobs in and out using an MRP system.Ensure safety practices are followed at all times.Collaborate with team members and assist other teams as needed.Essential Skills
Proficiency in reading schematics and drawings.Experience with MRP systems or ERP software.Mechanical aptitude with at least 1 year of experience in assembling heavy industrial equipment.Experience with hydraulic systems and testing.Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.Nice to Have Additional Skills & Qualifications
Understanding of hydraulics is an asset.Possession of a forklift ticket.Willingness to work overtime when needed.Good organizational skills and punctuality.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work is conducted in an 80,000 sqft facility located in Surrey that is half machine shop and half assembly. The area is equipped with three paint booths, an enclosed welding shop, and bright lunch and training rooms. Employees work alongside a team of 12-30 machinists and interact with a lead and supervisor. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided, and the environment is clean and environmentally conscious. The standard shift is from 7:00 AM to 3:15 PM, with breaks included. Flexibility for potential afternoon shifts in the future is appreciated but not mandatory.
