**Job Title: Assembly Technician**
**Pay: $20 an hour//Paid Weekly!!**

**Job Description**
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling and fabricating workplace equipment. This position supports the manufacturing process by performing a variety of tasks to ensure that products meet quality standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate various machines.
+ Monitor machine operations continuously.
+ Organize cut sheets and analyze part requirements to minimize waste, with an acceptable waste factor of less than 10%.
+ Measure and mark dimensions on materials before cutting, following blueprints to ensure a precise fit.
+ Cut, shape, and trim parts to ensure a snug fit using hand tools.
+ Ensure proper sizing, grain direction, and hole locations.
+ Produce or assemble components for items such as store fixtures, office equipment, cabinets, or high-grade furniture.
+ Reinforce joints with nails or other fasteners.
+ Assemble parts or subassemblies using glue, dowels, nails, screws, or clamps.
+ Verify dimensions and check the quality and fit of pieces to ensure they meet specifications.
+ Select materials for color, grain, or texture, paying attention to knots or other features.
+ Trim, sand, or scrape surfaces to prepare articles for finishing.
+ Determine specifications and plan methods for shaping or assembling parts based on blueprints, drawings, diagrams, or instructions.
+ Manage output to meet deadlines and communicate any delays to the supervisor.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in assembly and mechanical assembly.
+ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams.
+ Experience with woodworking, including wood cutting and saw operation.
+ Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience utilizing woodworking equipment such as table saws, routers, and skill saws is preferred.
+ Flexibility to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities.
+ Additional technical training or certification in woodworking or manufacturing is a plus.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a manufacturing shop with approximately 20 employees in various roles, including machining, assembly, and shipping & receiving. This position reports directly to the shop manager.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Castle, Delaware.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
