Job DescriptionWe are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Assembly Team Lead to support and coordinate daily operations of our Assembly Line during the first shift. Reporting to the Area Supervisor, you will lead a team of associates, ensure adherence to quality standards, and maintain efficiency across processes. Your expertise will play a key role in training new team members and maintaining operational excellence through lean manufacturing principles.
Collaborate with the Area Supervisor to manage and prioritize daily assembly line activities.Be proficient in all departmental processes; act as a trainer and mentor for new hires and cross-training initiatives.Implement and promote BPS (Business Process Standards) principles for continuous improvement and process optimization.Ensure timely delivery of components and finished units to meet production schedules.Read and interpret work instructions, product drawings, and special handling sheets (SHS).Use manual/power tools and measuring devices to assemble appliances and perform functional tests.Inspect finished products for quality, identify defects, and manage non-conforming materials appropriately.Rework units as needed to meet quality standards.Support a safe and organized work environment through adherence to best practices in material handlingQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.2+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing or HVAC environment.Previous team lead or leadership experience strongly preferred.Strong understanding of assembly tools, processes, and work instructions.Ability to read and interpret product drawings, standard work, and job travelers.Proven ability to lead a team of 10–15 employees in a fast-paced environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Comfortable working cross-functionally with quality, engineering, and support teams.Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of problem-solving in real-time.Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Must be flexible and able to work overtime or other shifts as neededAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
