We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assembly Supervisor to join our team at our distribution center in Southaven, MS. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory functions of the assembly department. Your primary focus will be on managing incoming materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely replenishment to support production requirements. You will work closely with the production team, suppliers, and other stakeholders to optimize assembly operations and maximize efficiency.

You’ll make an impact by: 

Supervise and coordinate the inbound activities of the assembly department, ensuring efficient receipt of materials. Oversee inventory management, including accurate tracking, regular cycle counts, and reconciliation with ERP systems. Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures, such as FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and stock rotation, to minimize waste and obsolescence. Monitor inventory levels and analyze demand patterns to anticipate replenishment needs, ensuring materials are available when required for production. Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to expedite urgent material requirements and optimize supply chain efficiency. Train and develop assembly personnel on proper inventory handling, storage, and replenishment procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance productivity. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all inbound and inventory management activities. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to inbound processes and inventory transactions.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED Proven experience in a supervisory role within an assembly or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of inbound and inventory management principles, procedures, and best practices. Proficiency in using ERP systems, such as SAP, for inventory management and replenishment. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a team. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:  

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, or a related field

The pay range for this position is $49,350 - $84,600 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
